I have been registered with Wigginton Dental Practice for over 20 years and even though I have since moved from the area, I am more than happy to drive 30 minutes to remain a patient at this wonderful dental practice.
Today I had to make an emergency dental appointment due to a large molar being nasty and causing me extreme pain.
I walked in some 20 minutes early but was seen immediately by the lovely Grace who was going to check on my molar. She explained everything she proposed to check on me and in such fine detail where I was completely put at ease. Having done a series of tests including an x-ray she gave me the news that my tooth was beyond repair and the only outcome was an extraction of my 60 year old molar.
I accepted my fate with her calm and caring approach and by hook or by crook after several attempts on that stubborn molar, it was gone. Grace and her dental nurse Lauren were absolutely fantastic and so kind and supportive in my moment of trauma. I said at the time that Grace’s bedside manner was second to none.
Even as I was leaving, the receptionist Sarah insisted I called them when I got home to let them know I had got home safely, as it was a bit of a drive.
All in all, Grace, Lauren and Sarah, what a fantastic team you were today and I cannot praise you highly enough for looking after me so well today. Take a well deserved bow ladies! My deepest respect and regards to you all, warmest wishes Kev Keenan.

I can't tell you how much Lucy has put me at ease; after having been nervous of the dentist for all of my life she has been amazing and so patient with me and for the first time I'm now beginning to calm down before and during my visits. Katie, the Hygienist is also brilliant for doing this and settling me in. They have been so kind, informative, gentle and understanding; I cannot praise them or their Assistants enough. The Reception staff too cannot go unpraised, thank you for being so good and taking time to explain everything to me when I come for my appointments. This is an exceptional dental practice.

I’ve been seeing Lucy now for a couple of years & she’s the most patient & caring Dentist I’ve ever come across. Lucy completely puts you at ease, explains any procedures that are needed & is just genuinely a really lovely person.
If it wasn’t for Lucy being at Wigginton Dental Practice I’d still have a fear of the dentist. It isn’t a chore anymore; it’s now a pleasure & thanks to Lucy, no longer a fear.

My children have gone to Charlotte since Keith left, and I’ve never had a bad word to say, she’s patient and they both have no bother coming. I recently joined and had to have an extraction and got dry socket, they got me in within 2 hours of me phoning, Charlotte put me completely at ease, explained the complication and how she was going to treat it, have full verbal and written aftercare. It’s nice to see someone who genuinely cares.

I can’t praise Wigginton Dental Practice enough - everyone is wonderfully friendly, reassuring as well as experts. Prior to joining WDP I used to dislike visits to the dentist but now have no reservations whatsoever. Katie (hygienist) is quite literally the most gentle at her skill and having had a fairly brutal experience in the past she has totally changed my opinion on hygienists! Charlotte (dentist) is amazing, thankfully I haven’t needed much work done in years, but she did the most perfect crown for me and matched it exactly to my tooth colour. Nobody would ever know it was a crown! She was also exceptionally kind towards me when I suffered a bereavement last year - above and beyond care (when I needed it most) that I will never forget.

Where do I start really.. I hadn’t seen a dentist in years as I had been far to scared but the pain had got to bad to cope with found Wigginton dental online and WOW so glad I did from the very first phone conversation the staff were calming,helpful,and put me so at ease .Lucy is my dentist and she is AMAZING from start to finish of my treatment she has talked me through everything we worked together what would be best and by listening to her expertise I now have a lovely beautiful set of teeth I can’t thank the whole team enough they are all wonderful in my opinion truly 100 percent if not more if possible I believe I found the best dentist for me thank you all at Wigginton dentist I have my smile back x

I recently decided to change from my previous NHS practice and can only praise Wigginton Dental Practice. From the moment I walked in for my first appointment I felt at ease. The receptionist was very kind and gave me her full attention. I had been given Lucy as my dentist and Michaela as her assistant. Lucy was brilliant she put me at ease, talked me through everything she was doing, then discussed a plan with me, answered all my questions fully in a professional but friendly way. Michaela was also extremely helpful and friendly and did all she could to make the visit a pleasant one. I can’t thank either of them enough for their kindness. I wish I’d changed long before now!!

From meeting the receptionist and the my dentist Lucy and her assistant I was so relieved I had decided to go private again and very happy with my treatment. Such a wonderful practice with the friendliest of staff. The treatment is second to none and all procedures undertaken by both the hygienist (Katie) and dentist (Charlotte) are exemplary! I recently left another dental practice and I found these guys, how lucky am I? They are truly amazing. I have always been a nervous patient, but from the 1st examination Jon & Katy were fabulous. Absolutely brilliant.
My old dentist of 35+ years has now retired and his practice has closed down.
As an out-patient I rang up Wigginton Dental Practice this morning to see about emergency treatment and an appointment was arranged for 1435pm. By 1500 hours Jon had thoroughly examined me, advised on the problem (nothing serious - phew!), taken xrays and sent me on my way a with a big smile on my face.
Jane on Reception was really nice and signed me up as a patient with the practice with a plan in place for future appointments so no need for me to worry on that score.
All in all a very comfortable experience with a good, old, no nonsense Yorkshire approach to my visit.

I have recently moved to Wigginton Dental Practice from another local dental practice and the difference is amazing. I really wish I had moved years ago. Everyone at the Wigginton Practice is so friendly, professional and caring and I would recommend them to anyone. The reception staff were really welcoming, knowledgeable and efficient. Shirley, the hygenist, really helped me and impressed me with her skill and knowledge and Charlotte is probably the most reassuring and caring dentist I have ever met. A thoroughly excellent team!

I’ve recently moved to Wigginton Dental Practice from another local dentist and I cannot believe the difference between the two! The receptionist is lovely friendly and helpful and the dentist was super nice, explained in detail what she was doing which was really reassuring. The adjustments made for covid made me feel really secure and safe. To top all of this the quote given for my broken tooth fixing from my previous dentist was over £400 - I’ve been quoted £155 today so it is like night and day. The practice was recommended to me by numerous people and they were not wrong, simply amazing

This is definitely the best dental practice in York. Everyone is very professional, helpful & friendly, nothing is too much bother. Katie is a fantastic hygienist with years of experience always friendly. My partner had her teeth cleaned today manually, Katie did an amazing job very gentle no pain. Both Katie & the lovely dentist Charlotte explain in detail how to clean and look after your teeth to achieve the best results, they put you at ease as soon as you walk through the door. We both recommend this practice 100%.

With COVID-19 been the height of everyone's worries at the moment. The Wigginton Dental Practice has all of your concerns covered. Health form and COVID-19 related questions all done online the day before. Upon arrival, you are instructed to stay in your car and call so that you can be directed to which door you should use (1-3). Hand sanitiser stations outside at 3 points of entry, temperature checked, all staff in PPE - masks, aprons, gloves, visors. Cleaning of teeth was a little weird, as no air or water can be used for hygienic reasons, but thorough safe check up all round. They gave me a pot of polish so that I could polish my teeth myself when at home. Excellent service as always!

I've just moved to the York area and I was recommended to register at the Wigginton Dental Practice. The service, attention and professionalism I have received from both the dentist and hygienist has been absolutely top notch and, on both occasions, I really felt that I was in safe hands. My teeth also feel cleaner than ever before! The practice is friendly from the first time you contact them, and this plays through in all of the contact points. I would highly recommend them.

I was terrified to make my first visit to a dentist in 31 years but I have to say that Jane the receptionist, Dr John and nurse Sarah made my experience more bearable than I could possibly have hoped. I was dealt with respectfully, kindly and gently, and I was calm throughout as a result. I have booked my next appointments to sort out a couple of issues and don't feel half so afraid as I did about treatment.

I recently joined this practice after being very disappointed with the level of dental care I was receiving at my previous dentist. I am so impressed by the professionalism shown by all staff at Wiggington - everyone - receptionist, dentist, dental nurses and hygienist - is wonderful. Dental concerns and treatments were discussed in depth with me and a course of action decided on. I just wish I'd registered at this practice years ago!
I would have no hesitation in recommending the practice to anyone looking for a first class dentist.
